JP helps you quickly find the best job search engines, employment databases and career sites for your job hunt. And it gets you to the right pages at those sites with just one click.
Don't hesitate to take the Pointer out hunting right away. JP was bred to be intuitive and trained to be well-behaved. If you've ever used a bookmark manager before it should be easy to get going with the Pointer. Start by double clicking on the Big Dogs database in the main screen, open a few folders until you get to a bookmark you'd like to use and double click it. The Pointer will send its URL to your browser.
If you need help or want to know more about its advanced features, Job Pointer includes a complete help file. You can access Help Topics now or any time from the Help menu. Like most help files, it is mostly text. For a more visual orientation you can go to the Online User Guide at Job Pointer's web site, which includes screen shots of all the views and elements with brief descriptions of what they do or where they take you. And why buy the Pointer? Other than you can email us for priority support? Job Pointer is shareware. You may use it just as you downloaded it for as long as you want. For free. But as the free puppy, JP is somewhat limited. You can only use the bookmarks in three databases: Big Dogs, Career Esources and Treats. You can see all of the bookmarks in the other five databases but you cannot send them to your browser, email them, add them to your favorite Hot Dogs, etc. For that, you have to buy the full-grown Job Pointer.
